Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy’s Online Seminar

The Math Society at OPF Senior Girls hosted Pakistan’s eminent nuclear physicist and mathematician, Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy for an exciting online seminar on Quantum Computing last week!

Dr. Hoodbhoy is a PhD in nuclear physics and graduated from MIT with degrees in electrical engineering, mathematics and solid-state physics. He is a visiting Professor at MIT, Carnegie-Mellon, University of Maryland and Stanford Linear Collider and recipient of the “Abdul Salam Prize for Mathematics,” the “Kalinga Priza” and the “Burton Award” amongst others.

Hundreds of our students enjoyed the highly informative and interactive session. Three cheers for OPF’s Maths Society for getting Dr. Hoodbhoy on board and organizing the virtual event.
